It is finally happening and it is official...how will you be celebrating?

The 21st June 2015 will be the first ever recognised International Day of Yoga, following years of proposals and efforts to dedicated a day entirely to yoga. The event has received support from 175 nations and will be celebrated across the world.

The date was suggested by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi because of it's significance to the many nations across the world as the summer solstice. The longest day of the year will be filled with yoga from dawn to dusk to encompass the global impact of yoga throughout history and in modern day life.

Yoga teachers and studios are taking full advantage of the opportunity to encourage more people to learn about the background of yoga, and to try their first class.
